Description
This is a 48-pitch pinion gear with 17 teeth, made from hard nickel-plated alloy steel and featuring a 1/8-inch bore. It’s precision-cut to mesh with compatible plastic spur gears for dependable power transfer in model gearboxes. A 5-40 set screw is included, and a 1/16-inch Allen wrench (not included) fits the screw for secure installation.
Designed for durability, the hard nickel plating resists wear and corrosion to keep the mesh tight over time. The 1/8-inch bore fits standard shafts, and the 17-tooth, 48-pitch configuration provides a precise, reliable gear mesh when used with plastic spur gears, making it a solid choice for dialing in gear ratios for balanced torque and speed in hobby-grade gear trains.
