Description
The .55-size glow engine with Advanced Bimetallic Liner (ABL) and a muffler is built to deliver near-.50 power in a .40-size airplane. It benefits from an improved carburetor and a large-chamber muffler for quiet operation, with a diagonally placed needle valve on the carb for precise tuning and a rear-angled valve for easy access, while the squared muffler makes cowling installation simpler.
ABL technology uses two alloys to form a durable barrier between the brass liner and the piston, increasing life and reliability. The engine mounts in a standard mid-size bolt pattern, making installation in many sport and scale models straightforward. For propeller choices, typical options include 12×7, 12×8, 13×6, and 13×7. The large-chamber muffler reduces noise without sacrificing power, providing practical, quiet .50-class performance in a .40-size airframe.
