This R/C model assembly kit recreates the classic FIAT 131 Abarth Rally Olio Fiat on the easy to assemble and drive MF-01X rally chassis platform.
’70s Rally Star
The Fiat 131 Abarth Rally made its debut in 1976 global rally races and became champion three times. Based upon the well-loved Fiat family car 131 Mirafiori, the rally version was customized by Abarth and in 1976 and 1977, it mainly raced in the livery of the Fiat oil brand Olio Fiat: this assembly kit creates an R/C model of that car. The alluring shape of the car is recreated using a polycarbonate body, with separate parts for quadruple headlights, spotlights and roof spoiler.
MF-01X – Compact 4WD At Home on a Range of Surfaces
Based around a tough monocoque frame with integrated gearboxes, this compact 4WD chassis gives a thrilling drive whether you take it on road or flat dirt surfaces. It features a rear-mounted motor, with gear-driven rear wheels and a propeller shaft taking power to the front. Both front and rear gearboxes have differential gears. The battery pack location in the chassis center secures excellent balance, while 4-wheel independent double wishbone suspension employs friction dampers. Off-road capable M-05Ra chassis uprights and hub carriers are also included, and spoke wheels are paired with rally block tires.

This classic rally car is a perfect match for the highly capable MF-01X chassis.
A close-up on the front of the car, which has separate parts for light cases and fog lamps.
Side mirrors are also separate parts, while driver names are included on the sticker sheet.
The bumperless tail is a point of interest, and the trunk lid spoiler is a separately molded component.
Here is a closer look at the roof spoiler, which is also molded separately from the body.
The chunky overfenders are an important element of the car’s image, and the air intake cover is also depicted.
The motor is planted in the 4WD chassis’ rear, with power going via gears to the rear wheels and propeller shaft to the front.
A slimline three-piece monocoque forms the centerpiece of the MF-01X chassis, and the propeller shaft is positioned to the right.
