Description
An HO-scale, ready-to-run 60-foot flatcar in C&EI livery, this model recreates the late-1960s bulk-load freight design. Decorated and fully assembled, it’s ready to roll on typical HO layouts right out of the box, making it easy to add authentic, heavy-duty service equipment to lumber and pipe-loading scenes.
Detail and performance features include separately applied end details and a brake wheel, 33-inch machined metal wheels with RP25 contours, and a weighted chassis for steady operation. Body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers pair with a highly detailed injection-molded body to deliver realistic handling and appearance. With a minimum radius of 18 inches, it fits nicely on compact layouts. The prototype background notes that the late-1960s 60-foot flatcars were designed for bulk loads up to 60 feet, often using stake pockets to stabilize loads, and they became standard for lumber and pipe service.
